The Strokes es una banda de rock originaria de Nueva York, Estados Unidos, formada en 1998 y liderada por el vocalista Julian Casablancas.

'Someday' fue publicada en 2002 como tercer single de su álbum Is this it. Es considerada como una de las canciones más célebres de The Strokes. Alcanzó el puesto 17 en la lista de canciones alternativas de EE. UU. y en el 27 en la lista de singles del Reino Unido.

El videoclip de 'Someday' fue dirigido por Roman Coppola y presenta con las apariciones de Slash, Duff McKagan y Matt Sorum, guitarrista, bajista y baterista de Guns N 'Roses y Velvet Revolver.
